Central Kalimantan DPRD Asks For Road Infrastructure Towards IKN To Be Improved

PALANGKA RAYA - Central Kalimantan DPRD chairman Wiyatno hopes to improve and improve road infrastructure from this province to the IKN Nusantara location in East Kalimantan (Kaltim).

For this reason, the Central Kalimantan DPRD has coordinated with the provincial government so that the construction of land road infrastructure from several districts in Central Kalimantan to the IKN location becomes a priority.

"We will provide full support for the transfer of this IKN with all its advantages and disadvantages. Of course this support will be by preparing Central Kalimantan as a buffer zone, both in terms of economy and infrastructure," said Wiyatno in Palangka Raya, quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 24.

Currently, according to him, there are a number of alternative routes that can be considered and improved, namely from Palangka Raya to Kapuas to Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan to connect to East Kalimantan.

"It could also be the route from Palangka Raya to East Barito to IKN Nusantara, or from Palangka Raya to Murung Raya to IKN," added Wiyatno.

Wiyatno said the improvement in road infrastructure is also related to the food estate program which targets Central Kalimantan as a national food barn as well as IKN logistics support.

The development of road infrastructure to IKN in East Kalimantan is very important to be prepared immediately in order to provide various facilities, especially access and encourage accelerated development.
