Sad News, 11 COVID-19 Patients Died In Sleman In The Last Week

JAKARTA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region said 11 COVID-19 patients in the region died from February 8 to 15, 2022.

"Today, two COVID-19 patients in Sleman have died", said the Head of BPBD for Sleman Regency, Makwan, in Sleman, Tuesday, February 15, quoted from Antara.

He explained that the COVID-19 patient who died was still buried according to the standard operating procedure (SOP) for COVID-19 patients.

"Of this number, some were buried by the Sleman BPPD Decontamination and Cemetery Team and some were buried by the COVID-19 Task Force Team in each of the patient's domicile villages", he said.

The Sleman BPBD Decontamination and Funeral Team are currently still opening a command post in the yard of the Sleman Regency Transportation Service Office.

The team is ready to serve requests for assistance in spraying disinfectants and funerals for the bodies of COVID-19 patients.

"Currently, as many as seven teams of Decontamination and Funeral teams are still active, and they are on standby according to shifts", he said.

Makwan said that the occupancy of the integrated isolation shelter in Sleman Regency until Tuesday, February 15 afternoon reached 177 beds or 74.37 percent of the total capacity of 238 beds.

"The Isoter Rusunawa Gemawang shelter, with a capacity of 101 beds, is filled with 73 beds or 72.28 percent, and the Haji Sleman Dormitory Shelter, with a capacity of 137 beds, is filled with 104 or 75.91 percent", he said.

A spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force for Sleman Regency, Shavitri Nurmaladewi, said that for the daily confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the area, there was a spike today, namely 538 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 139 COVID-19 patients who were declared cured.

"As for the active cases of COVID-19 in Sleman as of February 14, 2022, 2,558 were hospitalized, 103 patients, 152 isolation shelters, and 2,303 patients in isolation", she said.
