The Head Of BNPT Elevates The Spirit Against Radicalism In The Digital Space

JAKARTA - In preventing influences that can threaten the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), Head of the National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) Komjen Pol Boy Rafli Amar invites all parties to work together against radicalism.

"We must collaborate in countering radicalism, including promoting the pentahelix spirit, between the government, business, media, academics, and the community as an effort to prevent influences that can threaten the integrity of the nation and state," said Boy Rafli during a working visit to Madiun City, Java. East, Sunday, February 13th.

According to him, the thing that needs to be watched out for at this time is the radicalization of the digital space. This is because such radicalization can create a single actor or "lone wolf" in acts of terrorism.

"Young people or the younger generation are vulnerable targets to be trapped in the "self radicalization" model, he said.

"Therefore, as a preventive measure, BNPT cooperates with various parties to carry out socialization to counteract radicalism," he said.

He assessed that the Madiun City Government had succeeded in realizing it as a miniature of Indonesia because in Madiun City all elements of society had been given space to express according to their functions and roles.

"This kind of thing is an example of strengthening national values. By strengthening these values, it can be a capital to maintain the integrity of the country and reduce radicalism. This must be inflamed," he said.

Mayor of Madiun Maidi welcomed the visit of the Head of BNPT. Thanks to good synergy with all elements of society, including the National Assimilation Forum (FPK), the city government has succeeded in maintaining the harmony and integrity of various ethnic groups in Madiun City.

"In addition, thanks to good collaboration, we are able to drive massive development. As a result, Madiun City has become a safe, beautiful and clean city," said Maidi.

Meanwhile, the visit of Komjen Pol Boy Rafli Amar in Madiun City was greeted with dances performed by community representatives from all ethnic groups in Indonesia who live in Madiun City.
