COVID-19 Update As Of February 11: New Cases Still High At 40,489, Deaths Today 100 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 365,565 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 40,489 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,708,043 people and active cases have increased by 24,622 to 312,808 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Friday, February 11.

Today's recovered cases increased by 18,182 cases, bringing the total to 4,250,277 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 100 people and the total was 144,958 people.

The province with the newest cases was in DKI Jakarta with 10,707 cases and a total of 1,040,619 cases. Followed by West Java which has 8,945 new cases with a total of 809,137 cases. Banten has 5,218 new cases and a total of 193,844 cases. East Java has 4,506 new cases and a total of 429,541 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 7,400 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an increase of 2,869 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 1,917 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 1,590 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 76,434,721.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 8.32 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 18,947 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently, 187,918,754 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 134,403,989 vaccinations for the second dose. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 6,623,413. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
