When Leaving The House Without Wearing A Mask, 42 Residents In Tamansari, West Jakarta, Were Sanctioned By Sweeping The Streets

JAKARTA - The Tamansari Metro Police have imposed sanctions on 42 residents for not complying with health protocols by wearing masks.

The sanction was given when joint officers held an orderly operation on masks on Jalan Blustru, Tamansari, West Jakarta, Wednesday, February 9.

Metro Taman Sari Police Chief, AKBP Rohman Yongky, said the activity was carried out every day during the implementation of PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions) Level 3.

"In the judicial operation that was held, we took action against at least 42 people who were found not wearing masks and were given social sanctions", he said when confirmed by reporters, Wednesday, February 9.

Yongky also invites the public to be concerned about complying with government policies by following the order of adaptation of new habits.

"We have personal discipline, at least starting with ourselves, to care about each other's health. Together we fight the spread of COVID-19", he said.

In addition to providing sanctions, officers also gave 500 masks to the public.

"We also appeal to the public and traders to continue to comply with health protocols in the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic", he said.
