JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate allegations of corruption in the implementation of the Formula E racing event in Jakarta. A number of parties were summoned for questioning in the investigation based on reports from the public, one of which was the chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi.

Prasetyo's arrival to the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta was known from social media. This is because the KPK has never actually announced who will be summoned in the process of investigating the corruption case it is investigating.

Through his Instagram account, @prasetyoedimarsudi, the PDIP Party politician said he brought a number of documents related to the implementation of Formula E. Documents ranging from budget preparation since KUA PPAS, APBD Draft, to APBD were brought in full.

"I leave everything to the KPK investigators. I hope the document will help the KPK during the investigation process," was quoted from his Instagram account on Tuesday, February 8.

Prasetyo emphasized that he would explain all the budgeting processes related to Formula E to the anti-corruption commission, including the payment of the commitment fee.

"Starting from the proposed discussion to the approval of the budget. Then how is the commitment fee payment of Rp. 560 billion made before the APBD Perda is ratified," he said.

Regarding this investigation, the KPK confirmed that it had summoned Prasetyo for questioning. However, Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, refused to talk much about the investigation.

Including the possibility of exploring the payment of a commitment fee of Rp560 billion to the FEO. "Because it is still an investigation process, of course as part of the strategy for collecting information and information, we cannot convey it at this time," said Ali when confirmed.

Say there is a bond of IDR 180 billion to Bank DKI

After being examined, Prasetyo said that several questions were asked by investigators regarding the implementation of Formula E, although he did not specify the number. However, some of the questions mentioned the issue of giving a commitment fee to the organizers of the racing event.

It didn't stop there, to investigators, he said there was a budget bond to Bank DKI amounting to hundreds of billions. According to Prasetyo, this kind of bonding should not be carried out when there is no underlying regulation.

"So there is a budget that before it became a Regional Regulation on the Regional Budget (APBD) it had been loaned to Bank DKI amounting to Rp180 billion," said Prasetyo after the investigation.

"In the legislation, after becoming a Regional Regulation, Regional Budget, it can only be done. This is not without our confirmation, he immediately does it himself," he added.

Prasetyo said that in the bonding process, he also did not know anything. The reason is that the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, has never invited the legislature to speak, including himself who is the chairman of the DKI DPRD.

"I was also not informed by the Governor and he made the first commitment fee," he said.

In an effort to investigate this alleged corruption, investigators from the anti-corruption commission have called out a number of names. These include the Head of the DKI Jakarta Inspectorate, Syaefulloh Hidayat; former Indonesian Ambassador to the United States, Dino Pati Djalal; and the Chair and Deputy Chair of Commission E of the DKI DPRD, namely Iman Satria and Anggara Wicitra.

Previously reported, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Alexander Marwata had mentioned the high cost of paying for a Formula E commitment. He said this would be investigated later.

"Jakarta, maybe we want to upgrade so that Jakarta is known to the international world, maybe. Why do we have to pay more than other cities, maybe they are considered popular, can attract tourists to watch Formula E and so on," he said. Thursday, January 25th.

"That is what investigators will investigate later, why do they have to pay such a high price and so on," he added.
