Ahead Of The Voting, Ridwan Kamil Visits The Tomb Of The Prince Of Jayakarta To The Subuh Quantum

JAKARTA - Candidate for governor of DKI Jakarta number 1, Ridwan Kamil made a pilgrimage to the tomb of Prince Jayakarta on Jalan Jatinegara Kaum, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, Wednesday morning.

Before the pilgrimage, Ridwan Kamil prayed in congregation at the Jami Assalafiyah Mosque which is located near the tomb.

Ridwan Kamil also had time to fill out a cult in front of the congregation about leadership.

"So, in the campaign process, my belief is that I involve laughter. The effort is done, the rest is to pray ( surrender)," said Kang Emil, Ridwan Kamil's nickname quoting Antara.

He admitted that he had felt calm because he had surrendered because the purpose of the contestation was for worship and seeking the good of the position.

"My mother advised me that what she was chasing was not her position, but the kindness behind that position. If that is not found, there are many stages of kindness that we can look for," he said.

According to him, his visit to Prince Jayakarta's grave was to make a pilgrimage because he had a history.

"The Jayakarta Prince's grave that we know first conquers Sunda Kelapa with a spirit of struggle," he said.

Kang Emil also asked the people of Jakarta to choose according to their respective beliefs and consciences.

"I only congratulate the citizens of Jakarta, vote according to their beliefs and conscience," he said.

After the pilgrimage, Kang Emil will spend time with Bahlil Lahadalia, the General Chair of the Golkar Party. Not to forget, Ridwan Kamil will carry out sungkeman to the figure of his mother, Tjutju Sukaesih, as a sign of service and ask for blessings in the city of Bandung.

"My mother always advised me that a leader who is good at fulfilling his responsibilities and uses power with a mandate, always pays attention to and raises the weak. This time, he approves me to run as a governor of Jakarta because he has fulfilled his duties as governor of West Java. God willing, the next step will be guided," he said.

After voting in Bandung City, Kang Emil will return to Jakarta to see the quick count at the winning post.

The DKI Jakarta KPU has appointed three candidate pairs for governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta to run in the DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

The three candidate pairs are Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) number 1, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun) from independent serial numbers 2 and Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Doel) serial number 3.

A total of 8.2 million voters who have been designated as a permanent voter list (DPT) for the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada will exercise their voting rights at 14,835 polling stations (TPS) on November 27, 2024.

The Jakarta Pilkada campaign series has been held from September 25 to November 23, 2024.
