Fishermen Are Taking Care Of Their Permits Are Slow', Said Ganjar Pranowo And The Minister Of Marine Affairs And Fisheries Answered, 'Ready Sir'

SEMARANG - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo contacted the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono during an audience with the Mayor of Tegal, Dedy Yon Supriyono at his office, Tuesday, February 8. Ganjar asked Minister Trenggono to allow fishermen to go on one trip to reduce the buildup of ships at the Tegal port.

The hearing was attended by the Mayor and the Forkopimda of Tegal City, to convey the problem of the crowded port due to the many ships. According to Dedy, fishermen find it difficult to process slow permits. To Ganjar, Dedy Wadul asked for help to communicate with the ministry.

"And that's dangerous, sir because at our port there is only a small capacity and now it has piled up. We worry every night that there will be another (fire)", said Dedy Yon.

Before long, Ganjar in the forum immediately took out his cellphone and made a call. In the end, Minister Trenggono immediately greeted Ganjar and a conversation ensued.

"Mr. Minister, I'm with the Mayor of Tegal. There's a buildup of boats, but the problem is that fishermen are taking care of permits are slow. Can they not be helped so that they are permitted to go on a fishing trip while taking care of them", said Ganjar when he called Minister Trenggono.

"Ready, Mr. Ganjar, we have dispatched a team in Tegal. For Central Java, we will help", said Trenggono, greeted with gratitude and relief from the Forkopimda of Tegal City who was present.

When met after the hearing, Ganjar said that he often received reports of problems with licensing this ship. Ganjar hopes that the communication with the Minister can help fishermen so they can go to sea immediately.

"We ask for a request from friends for a kind of discretion, it's easy before Eid so they can get income. I've asked Pak Trenggono for a very good response right away and have sent people here", said Ganjar.

Representatives of the All Indonesian Fishermen's Association (HNSI) who were also present at that time, asked Ganjar to immediately list fishermen whose licensing requirements were ready so they could quickly issue their permits.

"Later on the conditions can be assisted and the fishermen are assisted by HNSI, later from which ministry can be given the convenience. So that later it is finished, fishermen can go to sea again", said Ganjar.

Not only in Tegal, but Ganjar said similar problems were also experienced by fishermen who docked their boats in Juwana, Pati. It is hoped that there will be a system made to regulate the flow of incoming and outgoing ships so that there is no buildup.

"So, these two are still our concern, so that when the ship returns to dock, it is now piling up tremendously and a system must be built so that the flow is good and there is no risk. So I think the minister's attention to Central Java is good", said Ganjar.

Meanwhile, Tegal Mayor Dedy Yon Supriyono appreciated the swiftness of Governor Ganjar Pranowo who directly contacted the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, regarding the problems he was facing.

"I hope that with the economic conditions in Tegal, especially the fishermen so that there will be a circular letter so that in a month or two they can sail while waiting for the permit to be issued. The governor immediately communicated with the Minister of Maritime Affairs and the response was good, and hopefully, this can be done approved", he said.
