JAKARTA - PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the DKI Regional-owned Enterprise (BUMD) which organizes Formula E has finally determined the winner of the tender for the circuit construction.

The previous tender auction process was quite tortuous. Some time before, the auction, which had been open since early January, was declared a failure and had to be re-auctioned.

When the tender for the construction of the electric car racing track was repeated, a number of parties, including members of the DKI DPRD, doubted that the implementation of Formula E could run smoothly.

Until finally, Jakpro announced the winner of the circuit tender for the international Formula E racing event. It was PT Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Pratama, Tbk which would later build the circuit in the Ancol area, North Jakarta.

"The winner of the tender for the Formula E circuit has been determined, namely PT Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Pratama, Tbk," said Head of the Secretary Division of PT Jakpro, Nadia Diposanjoyo in a written statement, Saturday, February 5.

Nadia said that the company selection was carried out since February 1 last. In the process, a transparent selection process has been carried out which can be accessed through the company's e-procurement website and fulfills the principles of procurement of goods and services.

In addition, the company won the tender based on the passing of various assessment criteria whose requirements and clarification results were made together with the implementing consultant team, the company's ad hoc procurement team, and the Formula E team. the electric car.

"In the process, PT Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Pratama, Tbk gets the adequacy and fulfillment of the best assessment among other providers through an evaluation and clarification process," he said.

Jakpro emphasized that the company also has experience in building infrastructure.

"Including flyovers and toll roads, project capabilities, as well as accountability in work have been proven by the selected winners," said Nadia.

With the selection of PT Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Pratama, Jakpro believes that the 2022 Formula E event can be successfully implemented. Moreover, this company is considered to have many experts and qualified equipment.

On that occasion, Jakpro also explained that the tender process for the Formula E circuit had failed. However, the tender auction is repeated by inviting participants who have submitted bids.

"The re-tender process was carried out for seven consecutive days including re-clarification and other processes. The entire process was carried out under strict quality control by Jakpro," he concluded.
