Leaking Pipe In Gatot Subroto Jakarta, Disrupted Water Service

JAKARTA - PT PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (Palyja) as the operator of the supply and service of clean water for the western region of DKI Jakarta announced that clean water services to customers were disrupted due to a leak in a 1,000 mm diameter pipe on Jalan Gatot Subroto.

This incident resulted in disruption of clean water supply from Palyja in several areas of South Jakarta on Saturday from 22.00 WIB to Sunday at 13.00 WIB. "The water supply will gradually return to normal on February 6, 2022 at 16.00 WIB," said Corporate Communications & Social. Responsibilities Division Head Palya Lydia Atriningworo through a written statement quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 5.

Palyja's management appeals to customers to fill reservoirs and save water use to anticipate water supply disruptions.

A number of affected areas with water supply stopped include urban villages, Kuningan Timur, Kuningan Barat, Kramat Pela, Grogol Utara, Grogol Selatan, Senayan, Rawa Barat, Menteng Dalam, Kebayoran Lama Utara, Melawai, Gunung, Mampang Prapatan, Petogogan, Selong and surroundings.

"Palyja continues to synergize with related parties to complete this work according to schedule so that PALYJA services can immediately return to normal," said Lydia.

In anticipation of an emergency, Palyja has also prepared a fleet of tank cars, such as in hospitals, places of worship and social foundations.
