106 Teachers And Students In Denpasar Positive For COVID-19, PTM Temporarily Stopped

DENPASAR - The City Government of Denpasar, Bali recorded as many as 106 teachers and students were exposed to COVID-19. Face-to-face Learning (PTM) 100 percent in the Denpasar area is temporarily suspended.

"Starting today (it was stopped) and yesterday it was only decided. The reason is that we see the development of COVID-19 cases which is increasing and many are found from school clusters", said Denpasar City COVID-19 Task Force Spokesperson, I Dewa Gede Rai, Friday, February 4th.

To date, there are 106 teachers and students who are positive for COVID-19 and some of them are asymptomatic or OTG  (People Without Symptoms), and some have mild and moderate symptoms. Meanwhile, those with moderate and severe symptoms are treated at a referral hospital and those without symptoms are subjected to centralized isolation.

"Yes, there are 106, there are teachers and students who are OTG and some are being treated. Those with moderate, severe symptoms are in the hospital, the others are mostly centralized isolation", he said.

Currently, students will take distance learning (PJJ) virtually or online. Meanwhile, PTM will reopen when the COVID-19 case in Denpasar has decreased.

"Now students taking PJJ and PTM can be opened until the case slopes again", he said.
