PPP Names Anies Baswedan As A Figure Of Unity And Development

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta United Development Party (PPP) has named DKI Governor Anies Baswedan as a figure of unity and development. This coronation was given when Anies attended the 49th PPP Harlah.

The nickname given to the former Minister of Education and Culture was confirmed by the Secretary of DPW PPP Jakarta, Najmi Mumtaza Rabbany.

"We regard Pak Anies as a leading and unifying figure," Najmi said when contacted, Monday, January 31.

Najmi explained that PPP named Anies as a figure of unity and development because Anies was considered capable of building Jakarta during his leadership for more than four years.

The developments referred to by Najmi include the arrangement of the Aquarium Village in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, to the construction of a magnificent stadium, the Jakarta International Stadium.

In addition, Najmi continued, the atmosphere in Jakarta was quite conducive as long as Anies served as regional head in the capital city. In fact, according to him, this condition is different from the leadership of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok.

"Since the beginning of his duty at DKI City Hall, thank God, we have all felt how the era of Mr. Anies' leadership was almost no noisy atmosphere in Jakarta. It was very conducive. It was different from the previous era," he explained.

For information, while attending the PPP Harlah at the DKI PPP DPW Office yesterday, Anies thanked PPP for the support since he was still a candidate for Governor of DKI until he was elected until now. He also hopes that PPP can become a party that achieves high electability.

"I'm grateful that today I can return to the PPP DPW Headquarters and if I see it stretching, God willing, PPP will rise and be strong again in Jakarta. I see its aura, God willing, PPP will regain its glory," said Anies.
