JAKARTA - Edy Mulyadi's viral statement 'Kalimantan is where genies dump children' led to him being summoned by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police on Friday, January 28. However, Edy did not attend for several reasons and was represented by his team of lawyers. The lawyer requested that Edy be treated as a journalist under the Press Law. Deputy Chairman of the Press Council, Hendry Ch Bangun, who was contacted by VOI via virtual, Friday, January 28, explained the complaint procedure. In addition, Hendry also provided an overview of journalistic products between the cases faced by Edy Mulyadi and Deddy Corbuzier, when Deddy's podcast became controversial by interviewing the former Minister of Health.
