Not As Fresh As In "The Genie Throws Children" Video, Edy Mulyadi Doesn't Have To Come To The Criminal Investigation Unit

JAKARTA - The National Police Bareksrim has scheduled an examination of Edy Mulyadi in the case of alleged hate speech regarding Kalimantan where the genie dumped their child. However, it is not certain whether Edy Mulyadi will fulfill the examination or not.

"I can't confirm that (Edy Mulyadi is present, ed)," said Edy Mulyadi's attorney, Djudju Purwanto when contacted, Friday, January 28.

Djudju said, if later his client could not attend in person, then he would represent him. Because there are things that need to be conveyed to investigators.

It's just that, no further details about what will be conveyed.

"At least we are prepared to be present to represent the Bareskrim," he said.

"Later, we also need to convey something to the Criminal Investigation Unit," he continued.

The statement also seems to be in contrast to what was conveyed by the Police. Where, it is said that Edy Mulyadi will fulfill the summons for examination.

"Regarding EM's brother, after the investigators directly submitted the summons, the person concerned stated that he was willing to be examined," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan.

Edy Mulyadi is suspected of insulting all Kalimantan residents because of his statement about the 'place for the genie to dump children'.

However, after being crowded, the secretary general of the National Movement to Guard Fatwa (GNPF) Ulama also straightened the context of the sentence. According to him, the term is commonly used by residents of Jakarta to describe a remote location.

"I'm really sorry to be considered, I'm still sorry. Only what I said in the context of where the genie dumped the child was to describe a remote, remote location.
