Many Residents Of West Jakarta Whose Letters Of Importance Were Swept Away By The Flood

JAKARTA - The West Jakarta City Government (Jakbar City Government) is servicing the repair of letters and important population documents belonging to 50 residents who were affected by the flood a few days ago.

A number of important letters belonging to the residents consist of Family Cards (KK), Identity Cards (KTP), and Birth Certificates.

"For the first day, we have served 50, ranging from printing of electronic ID cards to changing family cards and barcodes," said West Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-Department Head Rosyik Muhammad when contacted in Jakarta, Thursday, January 27, as reported by Antara.

Rosyik said that the 50 residents took care of repairing population documents at the outlet area of Jalan Prepedan RT01/03, Tegal Alur Village.

He continued that the enthusiasm of the residents was quite high, especially those who took care of the reprinting of electronic ID cards when they visited the outlets provided by the West Jakarta City Government.

Reflecting on the high public interest, the municipal government plans to "pick up the ball". But for now, residents who want to fix the documents are expected to register with the local RT management.

"We give the time lag so that the RT can prepare the documents for the flooded residents," said Rosyik.

After the list of residents and their documents are collected, it will perform services again at that location.

Rosyik hopes that this service can help people update their personal data so that there is no need for administrative difficulties in the future.

Previously, several areas in West Jakarta were flooded during heavy rains last week.

Several areas were recorded that were submerged, namely Tegal Alur, the banks of the Semongol River, Kalideres to the Tanjung Duren Highway.
