Gerindra Central Java Reports Edy Mulyadi For Hina Prabowo Subianto 'Meowing Of Tiger'

SEMARANG - Central Java's Gerindra Party officially reported Edy Mulyadi to the Central Java Police for insulting General Chairman Prabowo Subianto who he called like a tiger meowing through YouTube content.

Secretary of Gerindra Central Java, Sriyanto Saputro, said that the report was submitted after meeting with the Central Java Police Chief, Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi.

According to him, a report is a form of learning for Edy Mulyadi not to humiliate and insult other people with disrespectful words so that he becomes a bad example for the nation's children.

In addition, reporting is also an effort to prevent similar incidents from happening again because they can divide national unity, especially now that Prabowo Subianto also serves as the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia or a state official.

"We cadres in Central Java are clearly offended, anyone who feels that Gerindra cadres are clearly offended by the insult to Ketum Prabowo Subianto", said Sriyanto accompanied by Treasurer of the Central Java Gerindra, Heri Pudyatmoko, and Deputy Chairman, Yudi Indras Wiendarto, quoted by Antara on Wednesday, January 26.

Sriyanto emphasized that his party asked that the case was not finished with an apology, but through legal channels so that it became a lesson.

When asked about whether the content created by Edy Mulyadi was related to the 2024 presidential election agenda, he was reluctant to speculate too far.

"We don't want to make assumptions. However, this report is purely our anger over the content and it has insulted the Gerindra Chairman", he emphasized.

He said the simultaneous reporting with all Gerindra DPCs throughout Central Java was due to the spontaneity of the online meeting ahead of Gerindra's anniversary.

"There were no instructions regarding the report. Everything was spontaneous because we were angry with Edy Mulyadi", he said.

The report was officially carried out by the Gerindra Central Java administrator, Dwi Yasmanto, and was accompanied by a legal representative.
