Drug Trafficking Cases In Schools, 23 Junior High School Students In Jember Examined

JEMBER - 23 junior high school (SMP) students in Jember, East Java were examined. Examination related to drug trafficking, namely Trihexyphenidyl in the school area

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Patrang Police, Iptu Joko Sudigdo, said that the examination of junior high school students started from public information about alleged drug transactions in the school environment.

"This is a follow-up to a report from the teacher that in one of the schools there is drug trafficking. Then we coordinated with the school and traced the 23 students who we then took to the Patrang Police Headquarters", said Iptu Joko, Wednesday, January 26.

From the results of the examination, 16 Trihexyphenidyl pills were secured from the students.

"Fortunately, the drug has not yet been used, but we only held it and immediately secured it", he continued.

Based on the results of the investigation, the police then searched. The police also arrested DV (21) who was suspected of being the supplier of Trihexyphenidyl pills at the school.

"From that investigation, we developed it and succeeded in securing one person suspected of distributing it. The police managed to secure 72 Trihexyphenidyl pills", he said.

"However, we are still conducting investigations as well as examining witnesses. We are still investigating and continuing the investigation process at the Mapolsek", said Iptu Joko.
