BADUNG - The perpetrators of the mugging of female students in the Kuta area, Badung Regency, Bali, were arrested after a rescuer recklessly rammed himself into the robber with the initials AF (25).

Meanwhile, the man who did not want to be named, hit the perpetrator to help the victim, Vikka Maiyam Kafomay (21).

Kuta Police Chief, Commissioner Orpa SM Takalapeta, said the mugging took place on Sunset Road, Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali, on Thursday, January 24 evening.

"The complainant (victim) and his friend have already reported the incident to the Kuta Police for further processing", said Orpa Police Commissioner, Tuesday, January 25.

The perpetrator of the mugging grabbed the victim's motorbike while on Sunset Road Street. The victim's bag was pulled by the perpetrator.

The victim tried to chase the perpetrator while screaming for help from other motorists.

"Then, while on Sunset Road Street, Seminyak, there was a man who helped chase the perpetrator and finally the perpetrator was caught and stopped by hitting the perpetrator in the Sunset Road, Seminyak area", said Kompol Orpa.

Finally, the victim's belongings that were snatched were rescued. Police also came to the location to secure the perpetrator who was first arrested by the residents.

Meanwhile, from the results of the interrogation, the perpetrator admitted to snatching. He also once snatched at Bypass Ngurah Rai Street, Sanggaran, on Sunday, January 23 night.

"The plan is that he will sell the stolen goods", said Commissioner Orpa.
