The Rented House Where The Murder Victim Was Found In Duren Sawit Looks Deserted, Neighbors Choose To Close The Door

JAKARTA – The atmosphere around the rented house where the murder of a wife took place in Pondok Kelapa Selatan, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta looks very quiet. There was no visible activity from residents or neighbors of other victims.

Meanwhile, the yellow police line crosses the door of the victim's and the perpetrator's rented apartment. Police are still investigating the murder case.

Meanwhile, according to VOI monitoring at the scene, the victim's and perpetrator's rented houses are in the middle position among other rented plots. Residents and neighbors of the victim preferred to close the door of their house rather than being in the yard.

"I know what happened yesterday, but just a story. I don't really know what happened," said a resident around the incident who declined to give his name to VOI at the location, Thursday, January 20.

He also said that the head of the neighborhood unit was not at his house.

"No (the head of the neighborhood unit), the car is not there. I think he's out," he said.

While other residents prefer to avoid the arrival of journalists at the scene. They refused to provide information regarding the murder incident.

The Head of the Duren Sawit Police, Commissioner Suyud, said that his party was still investigating the incident.

"Still under investigation. As for the motive, after the investigation is complete, we will provide further information," said the police chief to VOI, Thursday, January 20.
