Policy To Call Students Who Duel At Sanaman Mantikei Field In Palangka Raya

PALANGKA RAYA - The Palangka Raya Police, Central Kalimantan, will summon two high school students of the same level who were involved in a duel fight at the Sanaman Mantikei field, Jalan Wahidin Sudirohusodo.

Head of Ops Polresta Palangka Raya Kompol Aris Setiyono confirmed that there was a fight between two students who were in a high school in the city, which circulated and had gone viral via videos on social media.

"For the names of the schools of the two students involved in the fight, we are still checking through the circulating videos to find out where the students came from," he said, quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 20.

He said, to find out the identity of the two students who were fighting in the Sanaman Mantikei Square area, his party immediately studied the video that is currently circulating on social media and private WhatsApp groups belonging to the community.

Not only that, the local police will also immediately coordinate with the Central Kalimantan Provincial Education Office, because the equivalent high school in the province is directly under the auspices of the local Education Office.

"We will also ask about the fight between two students at Sanaman Mantikei Square, so that we can find out their identities as soon as possible," he explained.

The police, who received the information, immediately went to the scene. When the police arrived at the location, the students had already dispersed.

Regarding the incident, the fight between the two students occurred around 14.00 WIB. There was no loss of life in the fight that made a scene in cyberspace.

"I hope that with this incident, the school and the local education office are obliged to make an appeal, one of which is when you come home from school, don't play, which could lead to unwanted things in order to avoid fights like this," he explained.

In order to prevent a similar fight from occurring, the Head of the Ops Division ordered his personnel to always carry out patrols in the Sanaman Mantikei Field area, which in fact is an educational area and a sports venue.

"If something like this happens again, we will take firm action with the aim of giving them a deterrent effect," he said.
