The Attorney General's Office Examines Two Managers Of PT DNK Regarding Ministry Of Defense's Satellite Case

JAKARTA - The Investigation Team of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office examined witnesses related to the procurement of the 123 degrees East Longitude (BT) Slot Orbit Satellite project by the Ministry of Defense for the 2015-2021 period.

Head of the Attorney General's Office for Legal Information, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak, said that the two witnesses examined were managers of PT Dini Nusa Kusuma (DNK), a partner of the Ministry of Defense Satellite procurement project.

The witnesses examined were AMP as Solution Manager of PT DNK, then CWM as Senior Account Manager of PT DNK.

"Witness examination is carried out to provide information for the purpose of investigating a case that he was with, he saw and experienced in order to find legal facts about the crime that occurred," Leonard said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 19.

It is known that PT DNK is the holder of the Indonesian Satellite Filing Management Right to be able to operate the Satellite or use the Radio Frequency Spectrum in certain Satellite Orbits.

The Attorney General's Office has raised the status of the alleged corruption case in the procurement of the Ministry of Defense Satellite Project to an investigation on Friday, January 14. Starting Monday, January 17, the examination of witnesses will begin. A total of three witnesses were examined, then Tuesday (18/1) two witnesses were examined, bringing a total of seven witnesses, all of whom were from PT DNK.

This afternoon, Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin emphasized that his party was only investigating civilian suspects, not military suspects.

If there is military involvement in this case, said Burhanuddin, his party will coordinate with the Military Police through the Deputy Attorney General for Military Crimes (JAMPidmil).

“Unless it is determined otherwise, it will be connectivity. But at this time what we are still investigating is the civil, private sector," said Burhanuddin.

Previously, TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa, when meeting with the Attorney General, Friday (14/1) revealed that there were indications of the involvement of TNI personnel in the alleged corruption case.

The five witnesses who were examined the previous day, namely PY as Senior Account Manager of PT Dini Nusa Kusuma (DNK), witness RACS as Promotion Manager of PT Dini Nusa Kusuma (DNK), and AK as General Manager of PT Dini Nusa Kusuma (DNK).

Then two other witnesses who were examined on Tuesday, January 18, were SW as the main director and AW as the President Director of PT Dini Nusa Kusuma.
