Langkat Regent Publishes Plan To Ward Wind Arrested By KPK, Gubsu Edy: Several Heads Of Service Were Also Brought In

MEDAN - Governor of North Sumatra (Gubsu) Edy Rahmayadi received information that a number of heads of services at the Langkat Regency Government, North Sumatra, were also secured by the KPK. In the KPK OTT, the Regent of Langkat's Plan to Warn the Winds was published.

“I can't say for sure, but there are several heads of the Public Works Department and some of their staff who are currently being brought in by the KPK. I asked if I didn't have time to get a definite call because it was different," said Gubsu Edy to reporters in Medan, Wednesday, January 19.

Gubsu Edy admitted that he did not yet know the origin of the alleged corruption case, so the Langkat Regent and officials at the Regency Government were secured by the KPK.

"I have received the information but I don't know what the problem is, for that all must be able to do it, don't punish it if it is not certain. We'll have to wait for the confirmation that I will definitely defend my children if my children are right," said Governor Edy.

Previously, the Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron said investigators had secured a sum of money during an arrest operation in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra.

"A sum of money as evidence was obtained at the time of the arrest," said Ghufron to VOI, Wednesday, January 19.

However, about the amount of money that was secured, Ghufron also did not want to go into details. Because, he said, the investigation team is still conducting an investigation.

"Please be patient, we will explain further after the inspection is complete," he said.
