KSAL Inaugurates TNI AL Alutsista Monument In Madiun

MADIUN - The Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL) Admiral Yudo Margono inaugurated the monument to the TNI AL's retired main weapon system in the Madiun Regency, East Java.

"To give respect, a sense of pride, and as historical evidence that this defense equipment system has served in the Navy, our planes and tanks are used as monuments in this place," he said when inaugurating the defense equipment monument, which was centered in Taman Asti Caruban, Madiun Regency. , Sunday, January 16th.

There are three defense equipment monuments that were inaugurated, namely the Nomad N24 P843 aircraft which was installed majestically in the Asti Caruban Park area, Madiun Regency, as well as the PT 76 Tank and M30122 Cannon which were installed at the intersection of the Dumpil highway with the Madiun toll entrance.

According to him, the retired defense equipment monument was a grant from the Navy to the residents of Madiun Regency. The hope is to provide education on the value of patriotism, especially to the younger generation.

There are also a number of post-duty defense equipment installed in Madiun Regency which are very special. Previously, the defense equipment had been used by the Indonesian Navy in various exercises and operations recorded in the long history of the Indonesian nation.

"In the past this small plane (Nomad N24 P843) was our marine detector and this amphibious tank supported the main tasks of the Navy, so it has a high history," he said.

Yudo Margono, who is a native son from Madiun Regency, hopes that the existence of the defense equipment monument will also be able to inspire and motivate the nation's young generation like himself, that in Madiun Regency, which is far from the sea, but can become a Navy Chief of Staff.

The Regent of Madiun Ahmad Dawami expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Indonesian Navy for the donation of the retired defense equipment as a monument in Madiun Regency.

It is hoped that its existence will provide its own psychological effect for the community, especially in removing the stigma about the PKI rebellion in Madiun in 1948.

"This has had a tremendous psychological impact on the people of Madiun Regency. This has become a new spirit and could be an eraser of the stigma of 1948 in which Madiun Regency was not involved at all," he said.

He added that the defense equipment monument shows the value of heroism in Madiun Regency. He hopes to be able to provide enthusiasm and motivation for young people in Madiun Regency about the attitude of nationalism and patriotism.

At the inauguration, Kasal Yudo Margono was accompanied by the Regent of Madiun Ahmad Dawami and Deputy Regent of Madiun Hari Wuryanto and members of the Indonesian Navy.

The inauguration of the defense equipment monument also attracted the attention of the public. Many people came to see the defense equipment and take pictures at that location.

In addition to inaugurating the defense equipment monument, the working visit of the KSAL in Madiun Regency was also to review the implementation of vaccines for children aged 6-11 years at SD Negeri Garon 2, the school when he was carrying out education as a child.
