Djoko Tjandra Deposits 500 Thousand US Dollars To Andi Irfan To Take Care Of PK

JAKARTA - Djoko Tjandra is said to have deposited money worth 500 thousand US dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 7 billion to Andi Irfan Jaya, who is also a member of the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) Nasdem South Sulawesi (Sulsel).

Djoko Tjandra's attorney, Susilo Aribowo, said that the money was given to Andi Irfan in connection with Djoko Tjandra's Reconsideration (PK) arrangement in the Bank Bali cessie case that was registered at the South Jakarta District Court.

"(Djoko Tjandra gave money) to Andi Irfan through Yadi in the amount of 500 thousand US dollars. Yadi is dead, he said," Susilo told VOI, Jakarta, Friday, August 28.

Susilo denied that his client gave some money to Attorney Pinangki Malasari regarding legal matters. According to him, Djoko Tjandra never made any agreements with Pinangki.

"I don't know (there was money giving from Andi Irfan to Pinangki), because with P there was no deal whatsoever," said Susilo.

Susilo also denied the Attorney General's suspicion of his client, Djoko Tjandra, who was named a suspected bribe in connection with the fatwa arrangement to the Supreme Court (MA) so that his client would not be executed in the Bank Bali cessie case.

"That was wrong, bro, there was no gift from the Joker (Djoko Tjandra) to P (Pinangki)," he said.

Andi Irfan Jaya himself has been questioned by the Attorney General's Office. He was examined as a witness for the suspect Pinangki Sirna Malasari. Andi Irfan is very much mentioned with Pinangki.

At the Attorney General's Office, Djoko Tjandra has been named a suspect in giving bribes to Prosecutor Pinangki Sirna Malasari. Djoko was charged with article 5 paragraph 1 letter a of Law 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption, as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001.

Or the second suspicion, article 5 paragraph 1 letter b of the Law on the eradication of criminal acts of corruption or the third is Article 13 of the Corruption Eradication Law.

Meanwhile, Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari was appointed as the recipient of the bribe. He was charged with Article 5 letter b of the Corruption Crime Law.
