Roy Suryo Admits Seriously Offering Ferdinand Treatment To A Mental Hospital: I Know Him, My Heart Is Touched

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) and telematics expert Roy Suryo admitted that he was touched by Ferdinand Hutahaean's confession about the synchronicity of his heart and mind when he was questioned at the National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit.

Roy then offered Ferdinand to go to the Mental Hospital, Puri Nirmala Yogyakarta Psychiatric Hospital. This was revealed by Roy through uploading a video with a duration of 1 minute 38 seconds on his Twitter account, @KRMTRoySuryo2.

"I knew exactly who he was (Ferdinand) and when he said he had a disease, I was touched. I happen to be the chairman of the Puri Nirmala Foundation, a foundation that has a special mental hospital in Yogyakarta. I offered him free treatment," said Roy Suryo.

Roy Suryo felt the need to express this in a firm manner after many doubts arose as to how serious he was when he offered Ferdinand treatment to a mental hospital.

The former Democrat Party politician added that this offer was still valid even though the authorities through the medical team stated that Ferdinand's condition was in good health. Regarding the cost, Roy made sure it was free.

"So if he really suffers from the disorder as stated, please get free treatment at the Puri Nirmala hospital in Yogyakarta, I will be responsible for it,"

"But I believe the police have taken the right steps so he is declared healthy. But this offer is still, if bro FH has a problem as he admits, please go ahead. I provide free treatment services at the Puri Nirmala hospital in Yogyakarta," said Roy.

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has named Ferdinand Hutahaean as a suspect in the 'Your God is weak' tweet. Ferdinand was immediately thrown into custody.

"After the case was carried out, the Ditsiber investigators have obtained 2 pieces of evidence in accordance with Article 184 of the Criminal Procedure Code, thereby raising the status of brother FH (Ferdinan Hutahaean) from a witness to a suspect," said Head of Public Information of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Monday, January 10.

Ferdinand Hutahaean was reported on suspicion of spreading hoaxes or blasphemy to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. The report follows his tweet on his Twitter account @FerdinandHaean3 about 'Your God is Weak'.

Ferdinand is suspected of violating Article 45 a paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 28 paragraph 2, Law 11 of 2008 concerning ITE, and Article 14 paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code.
