CIANJUR - Cianjur Regent Herman Suherman asked the heads of neighborhood associations (RT) and neighborhood associations (RW) to list residents who had just returned from abroad. Data collection to prevent the Omicron variant of COVID.

"We, through the sub-districts, urge village officials to the RT to collect data on every citizen or newcomer who has just returned from abroad. If necessary, the data collection on the families of migrant workers is further enhanced as an effort to prevent the entry of Omicron into Cianjur," he said in Cianjur as reported by Antara, Tuesday, 12 January.

Herman Suherman explained that this data collection is important. Do not let just one person, the Omicron variant actually spread massively to the citizens of Cianjur.

"This must be a common concern. Don't let it be because one person can infect many people, so we alert the puskesmas officers to screen if it is known that there are residents from abroad who have escaped to Cianjur,"

"We ask all parties to be involved in preventing the entry of Omicron to Cianjur. Immediately report if any of his family have come and have just returned from abroad," he said.

According to him, there was a migrant worker from Karangtengah Subdistrict, Cianjur Regency, who had just returned from abroad and was undergoing quarantine at the Jakarta Athlete's Guesthouse after arriving at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

After the worker finished undergoing quarantine and was allowed to return to Cianjur. The local government will also carry out examinations to ensure he does not contract COVID-19.
