Had Been An Ojol Driver While On The Run, Suspect For Corruption In Road Construction In Asahan Arrested By The North Sumatran Prosecutor's Office

MEDAN - The fugitive with the initials FSN, a suspect in a criminal act of corruption in the construction of road quality in Asahan Regency, North Sumatra in 2013 was arrested by the North Sumatra Attorney General's Intelligence team.

Head of the North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office, IBN Wiswantanu, through Asintel Dwi Setyo Budi Utomo, said that the suspect was arrested at the Villa Karida Indah Housing Center, Medan City, Thursday, January 6, evening.

The arrests were made after the team conducted monitoring for a week to ensure the existence of FSN.

"The accused, who has been fugitive for 8 years, had no resistance at the time of his arrest and was taken directly to the North Sumatra Prosecutors' Office for administrative completeness and then handed over to the Asahan Kejari," said Dwi, Friday, January 7.

Dwi explained that FSN was a suspect in corruption at the Asahan District Public Works Service which carried out construction service activities in the form of hotmix improvements to the Jalan Pasar V-Pasar IV Section No. 002, Kisaran Timur District, which was sourced from DAK FY 2013 with a budget ceiling of Rp. 690,800,000. .

The construction service activity was carried out by CV Dewi Karya as a partner. Where FSN is the director of the company.

"Based on an audit conducted by the North Sumatra Representative Office of the BPKP, there was a state financial loss of Rp. 232,212,358 in this work. The Asahan Special Prosecutor's Investigation Team named FSN as a suspect. Once the suspect was identified, FSN fled," he explained.

"After being summoned 3 times and never attending to the summons, the Asahan Kejari set FSN as a DPO based on the Asahan Kejari letter dated July 4, 2018," continued Dwi.

In connection with this case, the Asahan Attorney General's Office has named 4 suspects. Two suspects, B and S, have already served their sentences.

Meanwhile, a suspect with the initials S died and FSN as a DPO who was finally arrested.

Dwi said that during the escape, FSN moved from place to place, starting from West Kalimantan, Tangerang. In the last 2 years, FSN has worked as an ojol driver in Medan.

The FSN suspect violated Article 2 paragraph 1 or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 3 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

"The FSN suspect was then handed over directly to the Kajari Asahan Aluwi, accompanied by the Special Investigation Team for the Asahan Kejari Pidsus to undergo further examination," he said.
