DPR Chair Puan Maharani Provides 750 Premium Rice Packages For Boyolali Residents

BOYOLALI - DPR Speaker Puan Maharani provided assistance with 750 packages of premium rice as a form of concern and to ease the burden on the community in Boyolali Regency, Central Java, facing the COVID-19 pandemic.

The handover of the premium rice package was symbolically handed over by Member of Commission IV of the DPR, Mohammad Nabil Harun, and received by the Chairman of Commission II of the Boyolali Regency DPRD, Susetya Kusuma Dwi Hartanta, at the Marhean Panti Building, Boyolali, Central Java, Thursday, December 30.

According to Nabil Harun, there are 750 packages of premium quality rice and each package contains five kilograms. This premium rice is purchased from farmers in the hope of helping the farmers' economy a little.

"Boyolali himself received assistance as many as 750 packages of five kilograms of premium rice," he said, as quoted by Antara.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Commission II of the Boyolali Regency DPRD, Susetya Kusuma Dwi Hartanta, said that his party hoped that the assistance would be useful and be able to ease the burden on the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"People are still in a difficult situation because of the prolonged pandemic and in addition, there is an extension of the PPKM like this. This is a form of concern for the Chairman of the DPR RI, Puan Maharani, for the people in Boyolali Regency," he said.

According to him, the rice aid from DPR Speaker Puan Maharani will begin to be distributed to three sub-districts in Boyolali, namely Sawit, Ngemplak, and Banyudono for people in need.

"As soon as possible the aid will be distributed to people in need. We will immediately distribute it on Friday to people in need," he said.

Meanwhile, 2,000 packages of rice assistance from Puan Maharani were given to the people in Surakarta City, Klaten Regency, and Sukoharjo, at 20 points simultaneously. Including 750 packages of premium rice will be distributed to the people of Boyolali Regency.
