JAKARTA - Secretary of Commission B of the DKI DPRD, Pandapotan Sinaga, described the results of his review of the location of the Formula E circuit in Ancol along with other members of Commission B.

After traveling around, Pandapotan doubts that this designated location can be turned into an electric car racing track in three months. This work time is according to the target of PT Jakpro.

"I saw with my eyes, with my ability, I don't believe it, in less than three months, this facility can be made into an international class track, yes. But we have faith in those who will work on it," Pandapotan told reporters at the location, Wednesday, December 29.

Pandapotan explained the reason for the concern. According to him, the location of the Formula E circuit is a former mud disposal area. Thus, the soil structure is soft and has the potential for flooding.

"I know this is a former mud dump. River dredging, MRT construction, dumping the mud here. This used to be a swamp that was backfilled. This used to be a flood," said the PDIP politician.

Pandapotan views that it will take six months to prepare the land to pave the circuit. However, he handed over the work to Jakpro, who believed the circuit could be built in three months.

"The track will take at least 6 months. This includes raw land, but maybe with the sophistication of the technology obtained, he (Jakpro) said it could take three months (work on the circuit). We'll see," he said.

It is known that the location of the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) has 18 bends, 600 meters of straight track, clockwise direction, 2.4 kilometers of track length, and 16 meters of track width.
