JAKARTA - Gong Hyo Jin returns to acting in the drama When the Stars Gossip with Lee Min Ho. The 44-year-old actress acted as commander for the first time.

I'm a fan of the scriptwriter and have worked with them. I like everything, so when I read the script, I can't say no," said Gong Hyo Jin in a virtual press conference on Thursday, January 9.

"I've always played a rookie but here I play a leader and interested in working in outer space, I'm curious," he explained.

Dubbed the queen of rom-com (romantic comedy), Gong Hyo Jin said there was something different in the process of forming a romance scene in When the Stars Gossip.

"In the script, there is an aspect of rom-com but it is built slowly, but if it is called for me, it needs a process because if it is not built there is no tension. What makes the story fresh is that we have a story with a space background," said Gong Hyo Jin.

When the Stars Gossip tells the story of Eve's (Gong Hyo Jin) relationship, a space commander and obgyn doctor Gong Ryong (Lee Min Ho) who meets and falls in love. The first 2 episodes have been airing since last week and the drama will air every Saturday and Sunday on Netflix.
