Police In Bekasi Ask Mother To Arrest Suspected Perpetrators Of Obscenity, Metro Jaya Police Responds

JAKARTA - The Metro Jaya Police stated that they were investigating the attitude of members of the Bekasi Metro Police who asked the reporter for the obscenity case to arrest the alleged perpetrator himself. In fact, a team from the Professional and Security Sectors (Propam) will be deployed.

"Regarding the one at the Bekasi City Police, our team is currently investigating such a report. Is it true, we don't know yet, whether it is true, there are words like that", said Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Kombes E. Zulpan, to reporters on Monday, December 27.

A woman with the initials DN previously received unpleasant treatment by members of the Bekasi Metro Police. Because she was asked to arrest the alleged perpetrator of sexual abuse of her child.

In fact, in the alleged case, DN has made an official report with the reported initials AY. The report was made on Tuesday, December 21.

Zulpan continued, the deployment of a team from Propam was because this case involved the actions of members of the National Police. So, the authority is the Propam.

"Yes, if it is related to members, it will be from Propam. But please take time, it's not necessarily true, right. So we'll tell you again later", he said.

On the other hand, Zulpan emphasized that in any reporting, the police, especially the Metro Jaya Police, will always follow up. Especially if it is judged to meet the criminal element.

"So for those at the Bekasi City Metro Police, in principle, the Metro Police and the Resort Police of this line will respond to any complaints, reports, submitted by the public", said Zulpan.

In fact, the prosecution will also be carried out if the reporting has been equipped with strong evidence.

"Polda Metro will also carry out fair law enforcement at the earliest possible tempo if the report submitted by the reporter is supported by evidence by the crime committed by the perpetrator", said Zulpan.
