JAKARTA - Riau Governor Syamsuar, Sunday, December 26, distributed 12 tons of rice and other logistics for flood-affected residents in East Rambah Hilir Village (102 families) and Middle Rambah Hilir Village (35 families) in Rambah Hilir District, Rokan Hulu Regency.

When visiting four refugee camps, Syamsuar visited the flood-affected refugees to check one unit of a public kitchen car at the PMI Pasir Pengaraian office.

"The flooding in Rohul is gradual so that several villages are affected. We see that the Rohul Task Force is ready to handle flooding if it happens again in several other areas," said Governor Syamsuar, quoted by Antara, Sunday, December 26.

He explained that apart from seeing the readiness of the Rohul Regency Government to deal with the flood, his party also wanted to visit Rohul to see what else the Riau Provincial Government needed to help, so that the evacuation of victims could be carried out optimally.

"That's why we are here today to provide assistance and at the same time, if for example there is another need for our assistance (the Riau Provincial Government), we will be ready to help," he said.

In addition to rice, Governor Syamsuar also handed over food assistance, medicines, tents, BPBD logistical assistance packages and others.

The details of a number of aids handed over by the Governor of Indonesia, namely 12 tons of rice, 250 boxes of instant noodles, 300 cans of sardines, 300 kilograms of sugar, 300 kilograms of cooking oil, 20 rolls of tents, 50 packages of family kits, 24 packages of children's food, 100 boxes of tea, coffee. 100 boxes, and 100 boxes of gabin bread.

Next, 50 boxes of pregnant mother biscuits, 100 boxes of toddler biscuits, 110 packages of hygiene kits, 50 packages of family kits, 1 box of floor disinfectant, 500 sheets of paperwork, 5 raincoats, 1 pack of rubber gloves, 5 boots, 20 kilograms of chlorine, 20 kilograms of fast water purifier (PAC), 1 mask and 30 pieces of large plastic waste.
