JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has found a false investigation warrant (sprinlidik) on allegations of levies on state civil servants (ASN) at the Ministry of Religion and giving money to win one candidate at the 34th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) congress.
The letter bears the name of KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri with the stamp and letterhead of the anti-corruption commission symbol. The letter was signed on December 20 last.
"I never signed the document," Firli told reporters, Tuesday, December 21.
Based on these findings, the KPK wants the perpetrators to be punished. In fact, Firli has asked the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Karyoto to find the maker of the fake letter.
"Please trace it and reveal it because it is clearly a criminal act," he said.
Complementing Firli's statement, Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri confirmed that the letters circulating via short message applications and social media were fake. This assurance was obtained after the letter was examined in detail.
"KPK has checked and confirmed that the letter is fake. The letter is not in accordance with the official script system applicable at the KPK," Ali explained.
Not only that, the telephone number listed as a complaint channel in the letter also does not belong to them. Ali said the public can submit their complaints via email [email protected], SMS 0855 8575 575, Whatsapp 0811 959 575.

Furthermore, Ali reminded the public to be careful and vigilant with this type of fraud. He also asked the perpetrators to stop their actions because the KPK did not hesitate to report the perpetrators.
"KPK firmly asks these individuals to immediately stop their actions. The KPK also urges the public to always be careful and alert to various modes of fraud on behalf of the KPK," said Ali.
"If the public encounters or knows of a party claiming to be a KPK employee and committing a criminal act of extortion and the like, they can immediately report it to the Call Center 198 or to local law enforcement officials," he concluded.
