JAKARTA - The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Ansor Youth Movement (GP) has deployed 600 personnel of the Versatile Ansor Front (Banser) to secure the 2021 Christmas and 2022 New Years throughout the NTT region.

Chairman of the Regional Leadership of GP Ansor NTT Ajhar Kowe conveyed that the deployment of a number of personnel was part of the peaceful participation of Natal as well as assisting the police and National Armed Forces (TNI) in the NTT region.

"This number is spread across a number of GP Ansor branches in NTT," explained Ajhar as quoted by Antara, Kupang, Monday, December 20.

The personnel who were deployed, he said, were placed in every church. Both the Catholic and Protestant Churches in every district and city throughout the NTT region. The security will start on Thursday, December 23, and fill the post with the police.

Meanwhile, security personnel from Banser who will go directly to the church, said Ajhar, will be adjusted to the existing conditions.

He also said the security would be adjusted to the strength of the Banser members in each area after coordination between the police and the TNI.

"They will be at the center in a special post from each Ansor GP branch in each area. Approximately two people. Together with the police and other parties involved in the peaceful participation of Christmas," he concluded.

Ajhar emphasized that the peak security on December 24-25, 2021, Banser was on standby for the peaceful participation of Christmas in every church.

Peaceful participation this Christmas, he continued, GP Ansor NTT involved colleagues from Parisada Hindus in the region. “Our friends are Hindu youths. They want to join Banser in security,” he said.
