Developing Public Services In The Midst Of A Pandemic, Minister Of Communication And Information Wins The Best Ministers Award

JAKARTA - Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G. Plate received the Best Ministers award at the 2021 Obsession Awards. The award was given for his achievements in developing public services amidst the COVID-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia.

"We are witnessing the 2021 Obsession Awards given to male and female achievers, corporations and public institutions who have succeeded in making extraordinary achievements in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic," he said in a written statement, Sunday, December 19.

Johnny also appreciated the awards for institutional figures, as well as corporations from various fields based on the categories and fields of work. He considered that the appreciation was a form of support for Indonesian children who run public services in various sectors.

"We should give a thumbs up to Obsession Media Group's commitment and our joint efforts. And in particular, of course, appreciation to all medical personnel, paramedics who actively participate in breaking the chain of the COVID-19 virus in the country and provide proud inspiration throughout 2021," he said.

On behalf of President Joko Widodo, Johnny expressed his gratitude to all the people who have taken an active part in joint efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia.

"Under the orchestration of President Joko Widodo, who made decisions quickly, firmly and provided detailed directives in joint efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, which is currently in a sloping position," he said.

Johnny also expressed his appreciation for Obsession Media Group's commitment to continue to provide support in efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic. He also expressed his gratitude to government officials from the center to the regions as well as community, religious and customary leaders and government partners for the possible cooperation over the past two years in suppressing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia.

"A big thank you also to all of our national forces, for the extraordinary joint efforts in the last 2 years, enabling Indonesia, from the few countries in the world, to be able to suppress the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic at its current low level, " he said.

For your information, the Obsession Awards is an annual event held since 2004 by OMG. This year, the Minister of Communication and Informatics Johnny G. Plate together with three Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet received an award in the category of Best Ministers.

Award recipients were also in several categories, including Best Parliamentarians, Best Institutional Leaders, Best Bureaucrats, Best Regional Leaders, Best CEO, Best Companies, Best Entrepreneurs, Best Professionals, Best University Leaders, Best Lawyers, Best BUMD, Rising Stars, Best Society Empowerment, and Best of the Best Leader.

The determination of the winners of the 'Obsession Awards 2021' for each category is carried out by the Editors Club OMG in collaboration with Indonesia Research and Survey (IRes).

Besides Johnny, other recipients of the Obsession Awards 2021 for the best ministers category are the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing of the Republic of Indonesia, Mochamad Basoeki Hadimoeljono; PDTT RI Village Minister, Abdul Halim Iskandar; and the Indonesian Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Teten Masduki.
