Case Closed, New ADOR Opens Voice About Hanni NewJeans Bullying

JAKARTA - Wednesday, November 27, ADOR released an official statement regarding their actions to handle the bullying case experienced by Hanni NewJeans. This statement was only released after the National Assembly closed the examination because Hanni was considered not an employee of HYBE.

On October 7, BELIFT LAB released a statement regarding the manager's refusal. "We have managed a way of not having any controversy regarding ADOR artists, although the controversy has not yet been resolved, so we announce our position," ADOR said.

BELIFT LAB's claim is completely different from Hanni NewJeans' statement. Hanni clearly remembers BELIFT LAB employees saying something (to group members) to ignore him on May 27, 2024," he said.

ADOR menyatakan menyatayangkan Hanni mengalami situasi tersebut dan mereka menganggap hal dilakukan jika korban harus mengingat situasi semuatnya.

"We hope BELIFT LAB does not see what he is experiencing lightly and shows respect so that there are no non-essential feuds related to ADOR artists," he said again.

Hanni had filed the case when attending a National Assembly meeting with the Ministry of Manpower. At that time, Hanni was asked to testify regarding the situation she was in.

However, ADOR stated that Hanni or K-pop idols at HYBE were not employees so they could not get further treatment, especially if they reported the case.

Recently, a new bill was introduced at the National Assembly, which Korean media dubbed the "NewJeans Hanni Law."

On the other hand, representatives of the Progressive Party announced the Employment Standard Law to prevent harassment in the workplace, especially workers who are under special contracts. Their representatives stated that everyone has the right to protection in the workplace regardless of income, employment, contract.

Hanni Law called this bill after Hanni was present at the National Assembly and told the moment she was ignored by the manager of one of the groups when she greeted them at the HYBE office.
