Press Council Appoints ERA.id As Verified Cyber Media

JAKARTA - The amount of information in cyberspace will be fatal if the truth is not verified. This is because the public must be careful and sort and ensure the intake of information that is truly reliable.

To maintain the accuracy of the information submitted, the Press Council is given the authority through Law Number 40 of 1999 concerning the Press to verify press companies, including cyber media or online media.

ERA.id as an online media that was founded in 2017 under the auspices of PT Era Indonesia Digital is also not left behind. The ERA.id verification process by the Press Council was also carried out by the administrative requirements and factual verification.

Verification of the Press Council is important to maintain the commitment of the mass media to work professionally and to protect journalists.

Verified media are media that have met the requirements for upholding the journalistic code of ethics. In addition, this verified media is also considered to certify, prosper, and protect its journalists.

This verification from the Press Council positions the mass media to be trusted by the public whose journalistic products are subject to the Press Law and the Journalistic Code of Ethics.

Iqbal said that ERA.id does not only rely on proximity, prominence, significance, and magnitude in producing content. ERA.id also makes the human interest aspect as the commander, to touch the recesses of the audience's heart.
