Hercules Plane Sends 12 Tons Of Aid For Victims Of The Eruption Of Mount Semeru

JAKARTA - A C-130 Hercules aircraft belonging to the Indonesian Air Force sent 12 tons of social assistance for residents affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru, Lumajang, East Java.

The plane piloted by Captain Pnb Mikko and First Lieutenant Adam flew through Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, East Jakarta, Tuesday, December 7.

Head of the Indonesian Air Force Information Service (Kadispenau), First Marshal TNI Indan Gilang Buldansyah, while reviewing the loading of Social Assistance at Halim Perdanakusma Air Base, Jakarta, said that this social assistance was assistance from the TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa and Air Force Chief of Staff, Marshal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo, Head of Dharma Pertiwi and Head of PIA, Ardhya Garini.

"Today the Indonesian Air Force flew a C-130 Hercules aircraft carrying 12 tons of aid in the form of items that are urgently needed by people affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru", said Indan in a press release quoted by Antara.

The C-130 Hercules A-1318 aircraft from the 31 Air Squadron Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta flew to Abdulrachman Saleh Air Base, Malang.

Upon arrival at Abdulrachman Saleh Airbase, Malang, the social assistance was immediately distributed to several refugee posts in the Lumajang Regency.

The social assistance sent was in the form of ready-to-eat food, necessities, medicines, refugee tents, mattresses, blankets, carpets, and several other equipment needed by residents in refugee camps.
