JAKARTA - Head of Commission D for the Development of the DKI DPRD, Ida Mahcepat, has ensured that the budget for the construction of vertical infiltration or drainage wells in the 2022 budget year budget is crossed out.

This was decided in a meeting of the DKI DPRD Budget Board (Banggar). Ida said that the previously proposed budget for infiltration wells of Rp. 120 billion would be diverted to pay the salaries of other individual service provider employees (PJLP).

Bearing in mind that currently there is a lack of fulfillment of PJLP salaries in line with the increase in the DKI Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) in 2022 of IDR 37 thousand.

"The budget for infiltration wells which was not approved in the bank was taken to address the lack of salary from the PJLP. There is a salary shortage related to the increase in the DKI UMP which ultimately requires a budget of Rp. 200 billion," Ida told reporters, Thursday, November 3.

Ida revealed that the abolition of the infiltration well budget for next year was decided by the Chairman of the DKI DPRD as well as the Banggar Chair of the DKI DPRD Prasetyo Edi Marsudi because he received complaints from a number of council members. In the general view of the DPRD faction against the draft regional regulation of DKI regarding the 2022 budget year, last November 16, there were five factions that asked for infiltration wells to be evaluated.

"During the finalization or discussion of the budget, there were many complaints from Banggar members that there were several points where they thought the infiltration well construction was ineffective, which was ultimately decided by Banggar to be nullified. That's for sure," explained Ida.

Previously, Deputy Chairman of Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Nova Harivan Paloh, said that this decision was made at the last discussion of Banggar, with previously the infiltration well budget for next year was proposed to be Rp. 120 billion.

"At the Banggar meeting, the final agreement (the infiltration well budget) was nullified. So, now there are no more activities (funded by the APBD) for infiltration wells," said Nova.
