Ridwan Kamil Gives A Signal Through A Painting About The 2024 Presidential Election: Only God Determines

YOGYAKARTA - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil or familiarly called Kang Emil gave a signal that he was ready to be carried in the 2024 Presidential Election through a painting at the Jogja National Museum (JNM).

"This is the journey of 2024, whether it is red, whether (through) the green door, yellow door, blue door, only God will decide," said Ridwan Kamil while pointing to his paintings after the opening of the "Jabar Motekar" exhibition at JNM, Yogyakarta, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, 1 December.

An abstract painting containing red, blue, green, and yellow strokes, he made spontaneously when he opened an exhibition featuring 20 of his paintings from December 1-7, 2021.

When asked about the dominant color by referring to his painting, Kang Emil said that green is more dominant than other colors.

"Green is actually (dominant) and slightly red," he said.

However, Kang Emil admitted that he would decide to join the political party of his choice next year after carrying out istikhara (making choices) ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

He realized that it was impossible to enter the 2024 presidential election through an independent route.

"I am 'haqul sure' that at the national level it is impossible to be independent. So I will istikharah next year to join the party," he said.

If later he was promoted as a vice presidential candidate, he admitted that he would not bother. For him, whether being promoted as a candidate for RI 1 or RI 2 at the end is to be able to improve the welfare of the Indonesian people.

"There is no problem, the leader in the eyes of God is the same. Is he useful in the number one position? Is it useful in the eyes of the people with his position at number two? So number one or number two for me is the same, the important thing is that the people are more prosperous, Indonesia is more advanced, he said.

Currently, he chooses to focus on realizing his political promise as Governor of West Java.

According to him, without an image and enough to work with focus and seriousness will automatically affect the level of electability in the future.

"So if the survey goes up and down. Whether it's number one in the Nasdem Party, I appreciate it. Where does the support come from again? It's from the accumulation of work, right. So just focus on work," he said.

As is known, Ridwan Kamil's name always appears in the top five in the presidential or vice-presidential candidate market for the 2024 presidential election (Pilpres).

Recently, the results of a survey of the Student Youth Survey Network (JSPP) in collaboration with the Rectoverso Institute stated that the majority of West Java (Jabar) residents wanted West Java Governor M Ridwan Kamil to run as a presidential or vice-presidential candidate in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).
