Jakpro Finalizes JIS For IYC 2021 Final Preparation

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Provincial Owned Enterprise PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda) as the manager of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) is finalizing preparations for the 2021 International Youth Championship (IYC) final tournament in Jakarta.

JIS Project Manager Arry Wibowo said the number of spectators for the football match, which will bring together the three elite Spanish teams Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid with the Indonesia All-Stars, will comply with the rules for the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) in the Capital City.

"What is clear is that all the guests will be from the DKI Provincial Government. So, it is not open to the general public to watch the top part of the International Youth Championship", said Arry in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 30.

The construction of JIS has now entered its 117th week on November 3, with the accumulated progress of the construction of the Jakarta International Stadium project reaching 86.40 percent.

"Alhamdulillah, until this week we are still making progress and the deviation is still positive, +2.07 from the schedule", said Arry.

Currently, several works are still in progress in parallel, including from the outside it looks like the completion of the facade installation, which is almost complete.

Then all the roof structures have been installed, but the remaining work on the metal sheet covering, including the completion of the landscape area and also the entrance to the stadium.

Then when viewed from the inside, the installation of precast stands has been completed and also the installation of regular tribune seats and priority rooms for important people (VIP) and very important people (VVIP) which will later be used for the initial launch event of JIS on December 11, 2021.

"For monitoring, we do it every day (daily monitoring). It means that our priority is as of today until the time of the initial launch we will continue to monitor the quantity. So, for example, the facade work, how much in total, how much less, we evaluate every day, the installation of chairs as well, including the 'finishing' for the interior area", said Arry.

The IYC 2021 peak party on December 11 will also be the moment of the soft launching of the JIS main field in holding an international-scale match.

However, the number of spectators in attendance will follow the PPKM policy in the Capital City, by the recommendations of the central government. Therefore, the invitation was prepared on a limited basis by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

"In terms of capacity, we have prepared about 20,000 seats. It's just not possible to be 'full', right? We will follow the PPKM policy which will be set by the government on that date or before that date", said Arry

"For the 'soft launching' later, it is not yet open to the public. This means that this event is from the DKI Provincial Government, we are only preparing the arena", he added.

It is hoped that during the initial launch of JIS, the projected construction can be achieved around 90 percent.

After that, several work items will continue, with the hope that the projected development of the JIS area can reach 100 percent by March 2022.
