Within 11 Months, BNN Sultra Secures 7 Kg Of Shabu-Shabu And 18 Suspects

KENDARI - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Southeast Sulawesi succeeded in uncovering criminal acts of abuse and illicit trafficking of 7,008 grams or 7 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine from January to November 2021.

BNNP Sultra Public Relations Officer Andisak Rey said that the evidence was confiscated from 18 suspects.

"As of November 29, 2021, the Southeast Sulawesi BNNP has managed to secure 18 narcotics suspects with a total of 7,008 grams of shabu-shabu as evidence," Adisak said in Kendari, Monday, November 29.

He said that apart from methamphetamine, the Southeast Sulawesi BNN also seized 3.35 grams of gorilla tobacco.

The suspects arrested by the Southeast Sulawesi BNN are from various professions and networks, including the Kendari City network, between districts/cities in Southeast Sulawesi, namely Kendari Kolaka, between provinces such as the Samarinda City network, East Kalimantan, including the Kendari Class IIA prison network. Last October, he was suspected of circulating methamphetamine network in Pekanbaru, Riau Province, who was arrested at Haluoleo Airport, Southeast Sulawesi with 1,039 grams of evidence (BB) or 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine.

"The success of BNN in uncovering criminal cases of illicit drug trafficking cannot be separated from the cooperation of various parties, including the community who dare to report if there is a drug crime in their environment," he said.

He said that in 2020 the Southeast Sulawesi BNN secured 15 suspects with confiscated evidence, including crystal methamphetamine and marijuana.

"Evidence that was secured in 2020, namely shabu-shabu weighing 4,647 grams and marijuana as much as 90 grams," said Adisak.
