Human Rights Activist, Natalius Pigai Called Puan Maharani A Clean Leader

JAKARTA - Human Rights (HAM) activist, Natalius Pigai named two national figures as the best leaders that Indonesia currently has. The two names, namely Puan Maharani and Prabowo Subianto, are very worthy and qualified to become national leaders in 2024.

"I see, there are 2 candidates for Indonesian leaders who have good experience and track records. Both of them are in the center of power at this time. Please vote. If I am clear, I am Prabowo's success team in the 2019 presidential election," said Natalius during an online discussion entitled Evaluation of Jokowi's 7 Years of Leadership with students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Bandung, quoted on Sunday, November 28.

"So if you choose Puan Maharani's mother, you can and choose Prabowo too," he said.

According to the former Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission, both Puan and Prabowo are clean and genuine figures that this nation needs.

"We need nationalist, patriotic and clean strength that I see in these two figures," he said.

The year 2024, he said, will be a very decisive year for the journey of the Indonesian nation for the next 5 years. Therefore, the public is asked to ensure that the track record of the candidate is correct so that it is not like choosing a cat in a sack.

"The year 2024 is a momentum for this nation to move forward, so don't choose the wrong leader. Do not also choose a candidate for leader who is raised by the power of social media with the support of large sources of funds because of the fact that in fact there are no achievements in Indonesia," he continued.

Natalius said, candidates who are polished or given "lipstick" do not provide any benefit for this nation.

"Therefore, we must be careful in choosing. If we choose the leader of the cat in the sack, then we ourselves will lose," he said.

The task of the community, including students, he said, was to do research on the track record of candidates so that they did not choose the wrong choice. He gave an example of a candidate who already has legal problems with the KPK and does not have a track record of achievement, of course, it is not appropriate to be chosen as a leader.

"Something is now possible because of the engineering of social media so that it looks like it's great even though the KPK has also called it. This means that this is already a problem. The public should not be lulled by the engineering of social media," he concluded.
