Not Allowing Arteria Dahlan To Respond To Airport Police Calls, MKD: Police Chief Should Understand, Don't Add Complicated

JAKARTA - The House of Representatives' Honorary Court (MKD) did not grant permission to House of Representatives (DPR) Commission III member, Arteria Dahlan, to fulfill the summons from the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief, which was originally scheduled for today, Wednesday, November 24.

The reason is that the summons of members of the DPR by the police is regulated in Article 245 of the MD3 Law.

"We, in the name of the law, do not allow him to go there. In fact, I personally forbid Mr. Arteria to go there, because if he goes there, it means he violates the law, Article 245 of the MD3 Law", said Habiburokhman at the DPR Building, Wednesday, November 24.

In the article, it is stated that the examination of members of the DPR must go through the president's written permission on the consideration of the Council's Honorary Court (MKD).

"Actually, this arrangement has been around for a long time, it should be by heart if the name is a policeman, especially a classmate of the Police Chief, you should already understand this kind of problem. So don't add an inappropriate complication. We regret the summons", said the member of Commission III of the DPR.

The deputy governor of Gerindra said that if the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief wanted to ask for information, the MKD would facilitate it.

"Furthermore, if Mr. Arteria's report is checked or the report of the other party, please go ahead but according to the procedure. If you need Mr. Arteria's information, we will discuss the technical details after obtaining the president's permission.

Regarding the evaluation of the Resort Police Chief, Habiburokhman said that the MKD did not have the authority to reprimand. Because it is the area of the Metro Jaya Police Chief.

"We do not have the authority to reprimand, but remind each other. Quotes and quotes, this is not careful, we regret it", he explained.

It's just that, he added, the House of Representatives (DPR) Honorary Court of the Council (MKD) always conducts socialization to Polda-Polda including the issue of permission to summon DPR members.

"I, as a member of Commission III, frankly, we ask for (evaluation, red) which is so tired, sir, MKD socializes to various Regional Police almost every month. It should be a trivial thing like this to call members of the board for presidential permission, not a matter of equality before the law but the law there. It means that inappropriate actions only complicate the problem", he said.
