Novel Baswedan Becomes The Advisory Board Of IM57+ Institute, Ex-KPK Investigator Is The Chief

JAKARTA - The former senior investigator of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Novel Baswedan now has a new position.

Novel now sits on the Advisory Board of the IM57+ Institute which was formed by a former employee of the anti-corruption commission who was expelled after failing to become a state civil servant (ASN) through the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK).

This decision was taken after the institute held a meeting on November 22-23 yesterday. While sitting as chairman of the IM57+ Institute is a former KPK investigator who handled the COVID-19 social assistance bribery case in Jabodetabek, M Praswad Nugraha.

"IM57+ Institute held a members' meeting to formulate Articles of Association which affirms the organization's position as an independent association which is a forum for the anti-corruption movement that is contributive and participatory," Praswad said in a written statement quoted on Wednesday, November 24.

In addition, there are other names that sit on the advisory board. They are the former Deputy for Coordination and Supervision of the KPK, Hery Muryanto; former Director of Network Development and Cooperation Between Commissions and Agencies (PJKAKI) KPK, Sujanarko; former Head of HR Bureau, Reksoprodjo; and former Head of the KPK Anti-Corruption Learning Task Force, Hotman Tambunan.

Praswad said this management would last for three years. Furthermore, IM57+ will work to oversee the eradication of corruption in the country.

This, continued Praswad, is important to do because the capabilities they currently have come from public money. So, they hope that their expertise can be used to solve massive corruption.

"Members of the IM57+ Institute are people whose capacity has been developed with public money and contributes to the eradication of corruption," he said.

"This association is a forum for a movement that will facilitate former members of the KPK in contributing to guarding the eradication of corruption in Indonesia," concluded Praswad.
