Anies' Hot Comments On The Interpellation Of Formula E Proposed By PDIP And PSI: Strange, Where Is The Problem?

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan was surprised by the proposed Interpellation Rights Formula E submitted by the PDIP and PSI factions of the DKI DPRD. This is because the Formula E event has become an agreement between the DKI Provincial Government and the DPRD.

At that time, Anies proposed the Formula E budget in the 2019 DKI APBD amendments and agreed with DPRD members for the 2014-2019 period shortly before his term of office ended.

"When there was an interpellation, it became strange. Imagine the interpellation of a program determined by the DPRD. It was discussed there in DPRD sessions, mutually agreed," said Anies in Deddy Corbuzier's Youtube show which was uploaded on Wednesday, November 24.

So, according to Anies, Formula E must continue to be implemented even though its implementation has been delayed for two years. Bearing in mind that the electric car racing event program has been included in the Revised Regional Budget for the 2019 budget year.

"This is a program from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, there is a regional regulation. It is included in the budget. We have an obligation to implement the regional regulation. And if a program is already in the regional budget, we are under the constitution's order to implement it. Where is the problem?" said Anies.

Moreover, Anies said, after the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the DKI Provincial Government would no longer pay the commitment fee and budget for the implementation costs from the APBD. This was obtained after renegotiation with Formula E Operation as the license holder of Formula E.

"When someone says 'why not the money to treat COVID?' Well, it has been paid in 2020 and 2019. When COVID happened, the money was already paid, it was sent. So, we don't have any new expenses to them. When we do it now, it is from the 2019 payment," explained Anies. Some time ago, briefly After PDIP and PSI submitted an interpellation proposal to the chairman of the DKI DPRD, the two parties took a guerrilla lobby to other faction members to join the plenary meeting.

Until finally, the plenary meeting to determine the interpellation was held on September 28, 2021. In fact, there were only 32 DPRD members present, namely 25 members of the PDIP faction and 7 members of the PSI faction.

Unfortunately, the lobbying was fruitless, so the plenary meeting did not reach a quorum of 50 percent + 1 member attendance. The plenary meeting was finally postponed and will be rescheduled at a meeting of the Deliberative Body (Bamus).
