SEA Brings The Concept Of Inclusive Education In Aceh, Governor Nova Iriansyah: As Long As It Is Useful, I Support It

Governor of Aceh, Nova Iriansyah received a group audience from Save Education Aceh (SEA)

ACEH - Aceh Governor Nova Iriansyah supports the inclusive education program being run by the Save Education Aceh (SEA) institution in a number of schools in Aceh.

"As long as it doesn't violate the rules and is useful for the benefit of the people, I really support it," Nova said while receiving the SEA Team's audience at the Governor's Meuligoe, Banda Aceh, Antara, Tuesday, November 23.

With this program, the relevant agencies, in this case the Education Office, can collaborate with SEA so that the program can be applied more widely in Aceh.

SEA CEO Aisyah added that the concept of inclusive education that they run is based on research on the implementation of education that has been running so far. The results of the research were mixed into data which was later welcomed by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.

Aisyah said the concept of inclusive education that they are currently initiating is targeting elementary school education (SD) and will enter high school level.

"The important value of inclusive education is the creation of friendly learning for all students, both regular and children with special needs," he said.

He said the school does not discriminate between students, all students have the right to get the same educational services.

“Attention to inclusive education stems from discrimination on the ground. In Banda Aceh itself, what we find is that the concept of inclusive education has not been understood by policy makers," said Aisyah.

Aisyah said her party was committed to encouraging all parties involved in the world of education in Aceh, including teachers, to be able to understand the concept of inclusive education. Therefore, SEA requires the support of all parties so that the implementation of inclusive education in Aceh can be implemented.
