Health Center In Cianjur Provides Nighttime COVID-19 Vaccination Services

CIANJUR - COVID-19 vaccination services are provided late into the night at health centers in Cianjur Regency, West Java, to make it easier for residents to access vaccination services.

According to the Head of the Cianjur Health Office, Irvan Nur Fauzy, night vaccination services are provided at the public health service providing neonatal obstetric emergency services (Basic Emergency Neonatal Obstetrics Services/PONED).

Irvan said that of the 47 health centers in the entire Cianjur area, there are 24 health centers categorized as PONED.

"Only 10 of the 24 health centers in the PONED category have vaccinated at night," he said, quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 21.

"Other health centers are still being prepared to provide the same service," he added.

The provision of vaccination services at night at the public health service, according to him, is part of an effort to accelerate the completion of the COVID-19 vaccination for 1.9 million people who are targeted for vaccination in Cianjur Regency.

Meanwhile, Deputy Regent of Cianjur TB Mulyana Syahrudin said the local government plans to provide nighttime COVID-19 vaccination services in all public health service.

"We plan that all public health service can provide vaccination services at night. But for now, only the PONED category public health service has implemented it. We will also carry out house-to-house vaccinations as an acceleration effort," he said.

Irvan said the COVID-19 vaccination coverage in Cianjur is currently 55 percent and is targeted to reach 70 percent by the end of 2021 so that Cianjur can enter the area of the Level 1 community activity restriction (PPKM).

In addition to providing vaccination services at night, local governments work together with institutions and community organizations to provide house-to-house vaccination services as well as vaccination services in public places to accelerate the completion of the COVID-19 vaccination implementation.
