Child Sexual Predator In North Jakarta Becomes A Suspect

JAKARTA - A child sexual predator with the initials SA (55) who molested eight children was named a suspect by the Tanjung Priok Port Police. SA was arrested by a member of the PPA unit team at his home in the Muara Angke area, North Jakarta.

"He has been detained, he has been named a suspect yesterday afternoon. Because the evidence includes the results of the post-mortem, we have submitted the results of the counseling," said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanjung Priok Port Police, Commissioner Adjutant of Police, Sang Ngurah Wiratama to reporters, Sunday, November 21.

Based on initial investigations, there were eight victims of the SA atrocity, the average age of which was between seven and eleven years. Of the eight victims, only a few have agreed to be questioned.

"It is recognized that there are eight little children," he said.

The man who previously worked as a fisherman used the mode of giving toys to the victim before being raped.

"The suspect usually sells toys to little children, but this time, if the small child could be held, it was given for free in exchange for holding it," he said.

For his actions, SA was charged with Article 76 E in conjunction with Article 82 Paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection with a maximum threat of 15 years in prison.
