The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Coordinates With The Indonesian Embassy In Moscow About Youtuber Turah Parthayana

JAKARTA - Information about the alleged sexual harassment of Youtuber Turah Parthayana is being traced. The check was carried out by the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow, Russia.

"The Indonesian Embassy in Moscow is investigating the issues circulating about the criminal act of sexual harassment by an Indonesian student in Russia," said Acting Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Teuku Faizasyah when confirmed, Thursday, August 6 evening.

Turah's allegation that an Indonesian student in Tomsk, Russia was first exposed to sexual harassment by the Twitter account @ Sandi_sa119. Sandi said Turah had sexually assaulted a female friend.

According to Sandi, there were three victims of Turah's sexual harassment. But only one person spoke, namely Jesselyn Abidin or Jeje.

"So far only one victim has dared to speak. However, there are one to two more people who are likely to speak as well. But they do not know whether they dare to speak or not," Sandi told VOI

In addition, Sandi admitted that he had spoken with the victim and had held evidence of Turah's sexual harassment. Later Sandi and several other parties will report to the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow.

"We are currently preparing a report letter to the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow. There are two forms of letters from the Indonesian Embassy, from parents and victims. It contains a report requesting assistance to (deal with) cases of sexual harassment," Sandi said.

The sexual harassment case allegedly committed by Turah is said to have occurred at the Parus hostel on Saturday, November 23, 2019.
